Disability:IN Minnesota and MaxAbility are partnering on a Lunch & Learn session where attendees will:

  • Receive an introduction to elements of disability history and the disability civil rights movement
  • Learn about historical and current discrimination against disabled people in the workplace
  • Discuss how to make hiring practices and the workplace inclusive and steeped in allyship

Presenter:

Ashley Harris Whaley

Ashley is a writer, speaker, speech-language pathologist, and disability educator. “Disability Reframed” combines self-learning with open dialogue and conversation to create a space where decades-old attitudes towards disability, disabled lives, and disabled people are dismantled, examined, and then thoughtfully rebuilt.
