Join us on December 3 at 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM (CST) for our 2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) Celebration titled From Island to Impact: Survivors’ Perspectives on Disability Inclusion.
Event Description:
This celebratory event brings together former contestants, Eva Erickson and Mitch Guerra, from the hit TV show Survivor who are also disability advocates, sharing their personal journeys of resilience, representation, and inclusion. From Island to Impact explores how surviving on the island was just the beginning—these individuals continue to overcome challenges and break barriers in their everyday lives.
Through candid storytelling and a dynamic discussion with Jill Houghton from Disability:IN, Eva and Mitch will reflect on their experiences both on and off the show, offering powerful insights into disability inclusion. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of visibility, accessibility, and allyship in creating inclusive communities and workplaces.
