Driving Disability Inclusion Through Partnership, Belonging, and Action: Member Spotlight Element Fleet Management
At Element Fleet Management, disability inclusion is not just a policy—it is one of the core ways the organization lives its foundational value to Always be a force for good. Element believes that a truly inclusive workplace is one where people feel respected and supported, and where accessibility and belonging are deeply reflected in how they engage with team members, clients, and the community.
Fostering a Workplace of Belonging
This commitment to inclusion begins internally. Element works continuously to build a culture of belonging through its disability-focused Business Resource Groups (BRGs). These groups provide an essential space for employees, offering peer support, career development opportunities, and a platform to drive meaningful change within the organization.
Community Partnership in Action
While this work starts inside Element, it naturally extends beyond office walls. Element’s dedication to diversity comes to life in the broader ecosystem through intentional community partnerships designed to drive societal impact. A premier example of this external commitment is Element’s active partnership with Disability:IN Minnesota, where internal advocacy meets community action.
A standout example of this partnership in action is Element’s deeply impactful involvement with Disability:IN Minnesota. This year, Element proved to be an indispensable champion for local disabled talent, making waves across two of Disability:IN Minnesota’s premier initiatives: the 2026 INclusive Career Fair and the 2026 Career Connections Mentoring Program.
At the INclusive Career Fair, Element talent acquisition teams and leaders engaged directly with diverse job seekers, removing traditional employment barriers and actively diversifying their talent pipeline.
But their engagement didn’t stop there. Element team members stepped up in a massive way for the 2026 Career Connections Mentoring Program—a 3-month, one-on-one experience that pairs college students and recent graduates with disabilities with experienced career professionals. These mentors dedicated hours each month to sharing their experiences, reviewing resumes, and offering career guidance to high-potential talent from the disability community.
An Ongoing Commitment
“Partnering with Disability:IN Minnesota allows Element to move beyond awareness and truly drive impact. Engaging with top talent at the INclusive Career Fair and stepping up as mentors for the Career Connections Mentoring Program has been incredibly rewarding. This collaboration provides us with the vital resources and community connections needed to continually improve our workplace, dismantle barriers, and champion true disability inclusion.” — J’Nai Buchanan, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Element Fleet Management
Disability inclusion is not a single program, event, or moment. It is an ongoing commitment to accessibility, awareness, advocacy, and action. Through active BRGs, vital community partnerships, inclusive hiring practices, and the powerful voices of its employees, Element is proud to keep learning, improving, and creating a workplace where everyone belongs and has the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
Disability:IN Minnesota is incredibly grateful for Element Fleet Management’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and partnership in building a more inclusive Minnesota workforce.
